First, let me preface this formal statement by saying that Mary Kay could have issued us a cease and desist 11 years ago, but chose not to. That sentence speaks VOLUMES in and of itself.
Over the last 11 years, we have had the privilege to serve you by purchasing product that Mary Kay would not buy back. They could easily stop all liquidation and online sales IF THEY WANTED TO (key words back there – they do not WANT TO STOP THIS – IT WOULD COST THEM MONEY) if they bought back ALL product -even at less than 90% buy back (heck, we didn’t pay anywhere near that 90% and people chose to work with us). Instead Mary Kay chooses to continue to destroy family, friends and relationships.
We were never in business to work with active beauty consultants (although MK did accuse us of that, but maybe they don’t understand how our liquidation service worked – very little pay for the product – you have to WANT TO BE DONE to use our service). You can’t make a living buying product wholesale from MK at 50% and selling to us at 10%-25% of the retail cost.
We have heard heart-breaking stories over the years – many of which I cannot share details – the ruining of families, marriages, finances and health. All of those things were prominent in the reason for people leaving MK by the droves. The lies and vicious rumors they spread about people leaving are a disgrace.
I know some of you reading right now are going to try and post a comment here, telling me how the person didn’t work hard, didn’t do it the MK way, on and on. Save your fingers some typing, the comment won’t go through. Not only did we liquidate for 11 solid years (most of those 11 years we had access to SO MUCH STOCK we sold it off to other online sellers at a profit – the volume of product people could not sell for the retail value was tremendous and heartbreaking) but, also one of our members had 15-year-long experience as a consultant/car driver/director. We know the ins and outs of what takes place. We are well aware of “profit level” inventory, car production requirements, maintaining director status and the detriment that creates to individuals and families alike.
We have felt God’s covering and protection on us as we have been seeking His will from the start of this service, and we now feel God is leading us to move on. Over the years, this service has become such a small part of what we do overall and it won’t affect us nearly as much as it will those we served. We did this as a mission, and yes, we were paid (God’s children are given manna, my friends) and frankly, it was a lot of work and risk. And we feel the cease and desist is God’s way of showing us in a clear-cut way that it is time to move on.
That doesn’t mean we will stop listening to you, encouraging you to stand your ground and not let Mary Kay take any more from you than they already have. And while we are not able to liquidate from you, we are just an email away. Part of our mission will remain the same, even without the pay, because we feel THAT strongly Mary Kay is sham of a company to be affiliated with.
In the coming weeks we will be sharing what we learned from selling this product online – the saturation levels, the ugly glamour (and wow is some of that so ugly that it will not even sell at $2.99 incl ship!) the amount of products in basements and guest room closets not to mention the products going over the Mexican border by the drove (I just heard some of you yell, “build that wall” – we are with you). Mary Kay needs to focus on the large pallets of product sitting on the edge of the Mexico line going over to the flea markets – no need to deny it MK Corp, we already know you know about it and are choosing not to do a darn thing.
Love to all,
P.S. Needless to say, we are not affiliated with Mary Kay, Inc in any way. In fact, we denounce them.
